Returning to training after absence

The Wessex Deanery has a structured scheme to support all doctors who have been out of training for three months or more to return.

This scheme is designed to support doctors in training before, during, and upon their return to work. It is intended that the scheme will allow doctors who are out of training for an extended period to manage their return to work both in terms of clinical practise and curricula requirements. It is designed to comply with the GMC revalidation requirement for “keeping up to date” and has been based upon the AoMRC guidance on Returning to Work.

The scheme can be accessed by doctors who’ve been out of training for less than three months if they feel that this would be of use.
